{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Wading Roaches Run (Legal?)

My understanding is that wading at Roaches Run is acceptable. Am I misinformed? I thought I read a post from a while back saying that a police officer told someone that it wasn't permissible. Does anyone know definitively?
