{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: New to DC

Eric,

Cost will depend exactly where you're looking to store it. When I was researching, I was finding most that are very close into the DC area were around $12-15/ft unless you had a much larger boat. It was a little bit cheaper further south in Woodbridge. I'm guessing if it is a CC, it's probably in the mid 20s, so you'd likely be looking at the neighborhood of $300/mo. It may be cheaper as you go further south on the Potomac. Keep in mind, the marinas will charge for longer length of the slip or boat (i.e. if you put a 23' boat in a 25' slip, you'll be charged for 25' or if you put a 31' boat in a 30' slip, you'll be charged for 31'). Some also meter separately for your electric and/or water hookup if needed.

Anyone have any idea what slip rental prices are like?

Welcome to the area!

As mentioned in the posts above, there are lots of places to wade fish
but.....if you like fishing from a boat, bring them all! Within 1 hour
of DC you have some of the greatest waters to fish in (Chesapeake Bay,
Potomac River etc). Add a couple of more hours and your horizons
expand  even greater (VA Beach area etc).

Ernie.
