Recently I've been thinking about getting an SUP, and using it for fishing. In case you don't know an SUP is basically an oversized surf board that you stand up on and use a long paddle for movement. There were first used by surfers, now they are gaining popularity in flat water, and rivers. Some are even designed for fishing with more stability and ability to cary gear. The quiet approach and high point of view seems like it would be perfect for stalking fish like carp, or bass in shallow water. Of course I would not try to fish off of an SUP until I get comfortable enough. Anyone have any experience with them? What are your thoughts? Is this a crazy idea? --
