{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Chain Pickerel Nearby?

I catch them on bigger minnow baits when I fish for yellow perch in the early spring. Any tidal creek will have them. Seem to fish best in the late winter early spring because CCA MD started a catch and release tournament for them this past year and it kicked off in January -  http://www.ccamd.org/?p=1043

Great! Thanks for the info. They're apparently active through the winter, so looking forward to having them keep up my fishing addiction thru the winter!

I've been thinking of species I haven't yet caught. Chain Pickerel is one that I'd like to go for. I've heard there in the tidal creeks, but don't know any specifics. Any good opportunities close by?
