If fishing the outflow is slow or when the tide gets low, try fishing the pilings by the boat launch.

I will either catch the first metro train in the morning (5AM) and get there a little before low tide or wake up around 3AM and bike there for some night/ early morning fishing. Thinking about bringing my 5 wt. instead of my 7 wt., Any thoughts from the peanut gallery on this choice. :) I figure I've only caught smaller guys there so this could give the fish more of a fight. However I do hear you guys talking about some decent size fish found in there and there is a decent current going through there. My 7 wt. would also be easier to bike with cause it packs down better (four piece compared to my 5 wt. which is a 2 piece).P.S. If anyone wants to join, your more than welcome to. Just let me know
