Like most folks in DC, I don't have a lot of extra space at home for hobbies. I wanted to find a small fly tying station that could be stored in a closet. There are a lot of nice options online, but I didn't want to break the bank. I'm very new to tying and trying to keep the total cost of this new hobby down. With only a few hand tools and a couple of cheap cuts of wood, I was able to put together a pretty nice fly tying station. It's my ideal kind of wood project: lot's of tinkering, few plans. Here's a few pictures of the process and finished product. --
