I've only ever fished Fletcher's cove in the spring (for shad and schoolies), but was thinking of giving it a shot this week. What should I be expecting to find? Is the smallmouth action good enough to justify a trip there -- compared with other upper Potomac spots that I know are pretty good? Any schoolies hanging around this late in the year? Anything else? (Let's leave catfish out of this...)
Thanks.
