I've yet to catch anything but bluegill at 4mile run hitting it again today with a friend so hopefully my luck will change.
On a slightly different note, is there a path closer to the discharge where it is possible to wade out? I have waded in by the 'cut' several times. Last Monday, I found myself in a bit of a pickle when it got dark super fast. I could not see the bottom beyond the bleed off light from the soccer fields and feeling around with two pieces of my fly rod was not cutting it on account of the plush mud. It took me a good hour or so before I screwed up my courage and kinda made my own path through the super thick brambles on the bankment with the direction of some kindly soccer players sighting ahead for me.
