Welcome! I'm new myself and really love this forum -- there are so great local fly fishermen in the area and they're extremely generous with their advice and help.
I fish the VA side, but the whole area has some great spots. Just make sure you check out the fly rodders map!
Peace --

Hey everyone I recently moved down here to (Maryland, Wheaton area) and just really got into fly fishing. I moved here from The Bronx, NY where I spin fished with plugs and tins for stripers and blues, so I am not new to Urban Angling.--Anyway I left my spinning rod back in NYC and made the transition to the fly. Its such a better experience. I am really stoked to be out here and want to thank Trent at Orvis in Bethesda for all the help.I'm trying to meet some new people who are down to fish. I fish after work (after 5) on weekdays at the tidal basin. Looking to explore some more spots soon. Possibly Pine Lake up here in Wheaton this weekend.
