{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Colorful Coi on the Fly

I moved to Winchester recently for work but I get back to Reston, Arlington, and the Potomac regularly.  This morning I was out with a friend at Beaverdam Reservoir and we got skunked for Largemouth, so we decided to stop at a small pond in Sterling for some Carp fishing.  I hooked up with this colorful Coi using a yellow beetle with a hare's ear nymph dropper.  He went for the beetle and ended up with a good nymph hook in his bottom lip.

Hope to make it to a Beer Tie to see the TPFR group again soon.  Best of luck out there.
