I was introduced to the up by Trent at Orvis in Bethesda. It is great to see such a supportive group for the art. I am brand new to fly fishing with only a small amount of spin casting experience. I just received my rod (a 5/6 rod with 5 weight line) and am looking for a place to practice on the water near Rockville this weekend. I am working on my casting in the yard, but would like to get some time on the water. I plan to take lessons/a class in Oct. Any advice/tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
