While fly fishing for bones and catching them might be a stretch this time of year (bonefish are not as a abundant in MIA as they are in other parts of the Caribbean and Latin America), I'm sure you could do well with some of the other inshore species. Tarpon, snook, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, lady fish, and jacks should all be around still and biting. I'd suggest stopping at a local lodge or outfitter down there for more information. If you're planning to wade, be careful. Sharks are everywhere down there especially on the flats.

Title says it all, taking a trip to Miami for family and might get in a day of fly fishing for bonefish. Unfortunately, I will have to wade out from shore, so I am looking for tips on where the best access points are onto the flats around biscayne bay. All I have is a six weight, so I don't know if a day of fishing will even be worth it.--Thanks for the help.
