Roaches is usually choked off by now. Just a few spotty plants here and there.  I've noticed it too.

Wondering if anyone else notices a difference in the weeds this year?
I do my fishing in Accokeek across from Mt Vernon. Every year the fishing here seems to shut down here by mid July because the weeds, hydrila and such  are chocking the small bay. This year I really se no signs of the weeds yet. Talking to a few of the bass boat guys, they say they notice it too. They say they dont see weeds north of Mattawoman creek. I don't see a drop off in the fishing yet, I still catch crappies, yellow & white perch
bass, cats, and carp, I see the usual number of gar. Hope it's not a bad sign!
