There is a good amount of current that flows through the area between Tillghman and the mainland. Sometimes it is over a knot of current or more. I have cut through there before and made them raise the drawbridge as I went through there to go into the Choptank River.
I would imagine that the current would hold stripers. I have been told that in the Bay the Stripers like to bite, in the summer, at day break and sunset. Try different clower patterns on a sink tip or sinking line and you should do something.
