{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Tackle Question - Riverbend, Seneca road area

I've been finding that in those areas, the bites shuts down  for the most part once the sun gets above the trees. If you can get there early or late, then throw poppers and streamers. Also the bottom in those areas has a ton of snot grass which kind of shuts down the bottom fishing. So I'd say a floating line is your best bet.
I fished Rbend Sunday morn and caught all my fish on the above flies.

Hello,

I'm looking into hiting these 2 areas with my wife this weekend.  Is it reasonable to assume that I'll need a sinking, or sinking tip fly line to really get into fish around these spots (clousers, etc.)?  In other words, if you had every kind of fly line sitting there on a spool, what would you grab on your way out the door?

BTW - great forum and great site!  I can't think of anything more valuable than local fishing advice at your finger tips!! ;)
