{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Potomac Smallies

It is a very cool feeling to catch a fish on a fly that you tied.  I caught my biggest smallie, a 20" fat one, on a Murray's Madtom that I tied.  It was a very cool accomplishment.

Lately I have been fishing the Potomac more due to wading access and I don't like being in the kayak when it is 90+ degrees outside.  The water temperatures are lower in the Potomac than the Rappahannock, but they are getting extremely warm.  I hope that they don't get too much higher.  The water flow in the Potomac seems better too.

Are there any other good public Virginia Access points besides Riverbend Park?  The drive is worth it right now because it is fishing better than other places.
