Hey Everyone, 

I'm relatively new to DC but have experience throwing streamers for warm water species in the midwest. I'd appreciate any advice on how to get to Fletchers Cove/ any other place to cast a line in or around the city, as well as any recommendations on patterns.

 There is currently a Shad Run on the Potomac both  Hickory and American Shad. Fletcher's Cove area is great place to catch them.  The tidal Potomac and it's tributaries is also great place for Large Mouth Bass and Snakehead.
