Art, looking forward to reading that report. I'll share with my pops, who is taking a 101 class at his local NE Ohio Orvis in a couple weeks. I'm working on getting him into fly fishing... he's intrigued...

Evan, I've been meaning to read your blog post! I definitely would like to get into more smallies here in our area. One of my favorite catches ever was a 12-14ish one near Fletchers I caught on a popper on the VA side of the river. He fought hard and went straight for the bottom. Can't imagine what it's like catching one of those big monsters!

Ive got a big trip  planned for May and Im really looking forward to spending some time back on the home waters. Don't get me wrong, the lake run river fish are big and abundant,  but the pre spawn resident lake Erie fish are of a different class altogether!
