I was wondering the same thing. When MDNR biologists do electroshocking surveys, they usually only find one or two...betting they were actually small browns. However with all the floods lately I guess it's possible that a bunch washed out of a tributary somewhere, though the ones I know that have brookies are so small it is hard to imagine flooding so bad that they couldn't stay put...
