Its hard to go wrong in Missoula. I would recommend the Missoulian Angler (ask for Taylor Scott) but the guides from the Grizzly Hackle and Blackfoot River outfitters are excellent as well. Salmon flies ought to be out on Rock Creek. That would be a great way to get your dad hooked on fly fishing. If water levels spike head up to Craig Montana and try to get a trip with the guys at Headhunters on the Missouri River. While in Missoula stop in a and get some ribs at the Notorious P.I.G. Awesome BBQ.
-- I moved back from Missoula in August after getting a Masters from UMT. Let me know if you need any other info about the town.

Hey all, I am traveling to Bozeman and Missoula to visit schools next week. Can anyone recommend some good guides out there? My dad who has not been fly fishing before is coming with me and I'm looking to do a float trip while I'm out there. Thanks!
