I'm not sure where I discovered this (maybe here), but there's a great opportunity to try out boats on the water on Saturday, June 11. It's down past Charlottesville, so you gotta want it...
--I'm new to boating and I'd like to buy a boat for the family mainly for fishing but some cruising too. I live a few minutes from Seneca Landing boat ramp, and I'm wondering if there are certain multi-use boats suited to the Upper Potomac (say, Seneca Landing to Brunswick). I was initially looking at a Crestliner 1950 Superhawk (roughly 20') with a 150 or 200 outboard, but that may be way too much boat for this stretch of the river. I'd appreciate any advice. Also, is there a good location to download navigation charts for the Upper Potomac?
