Check out dfishinfool.com I think thats how its spelled. A guy named Don Mathews. He guides around the cleveland area, where there are a ton of great streams with big fish and light crowds. Much better than PA in terms of the quality of the experience. He does a very reasonable 2 day steelhead school that will tell you everything you need to know and also includes guided fishing. Flights to cleveland are also super cheap.

Hey All,It seems like its coming to that time of the year that everyone gets steelhead/salmon fever and I for one am starting to feel the heat. I know that the Salmon River in central NY is a popular area however I have heard about other areas throughout PA that is also pretty popular. I have to do more research but I am interested in your thoughts.I am interested in going for my first fishing trip and this sounds like a perfect opportunity. My main hold up is that I would need to do this on the cheap. . I am happy to carpool and camp (already have most of needed camping equipment) with the idea that we get to spend most of the time hooking into some of the big boys.So in short, If anyone is interested in taking a weekend trip, let me know.Aaron
