I talked to very good friend of mine, who is a full time guide on that fishery about it yesterday. He seems to share the same sentiments about people unfortunately losing their jobs.
I have fished there quite a bit over the years and although I wouldn't call it clean, I could be much much worse.
He seemed to be very optimistic about the fishery moving forward, but is curious to see how the impending angling pressure, now that the mill will no longer be pumping, will effect the river.
Ill say this, Ive fished that river on a few rare occasions when they shut of the effluent and it was amazing!
