Hey all! Just found this group, which is great for me. I'm not necessarily a tidal guy currently, more of a middle Potomac guy. I live about 5 minutes from harpers ferry and have been fishing the confluence for years, and with a fly rod the past 2 years or so. Recently though, my bay and tidal options have started opening up with friends getting boats and family property becoming available in the northern neck.
On the onthe question, I've got an 8wt I use for big bass bugs with a floating line on it. I'm looking at getting a line for the spare spool to use in deeper waters and when the smallies are down deep. So what kind of line and sink rate do you guys recommend? Sink rate and full/intermediate? I'm looking for something that will be a jack of all trades sort of line, and was leaning towards a 2-3" per second intermediate line. Look forward to reading your answers!
