Hey everyone, I just moved to the area and got my license all set and ready. Next weekend I have a free Saturday and I was trying to get out on the water for my first time. Sadly, as I am new to the area I am not sure I am using the right equipment, but it's all I've got.
-- I have a few homemade Clouser Minnows some mosquitos and the ever popular woolly bugger. My rod is a 5wt TFO, and I have no idea what I am doing here since the only fishing I have done is up in Mass, Maine and New Hampshire.
I was wondering if there was anyone who could either give me some suggestions, of not only places to approach, but also if anyone would like to accompany me a I am just more interested at becoming more involved in the sport and the culture in the area. My father brought me up on fly fishing and taught me the basic skills and I am just trying to become more immersed in everything down here.
