One guy earnestly asked me if I was fishing for flounder in the Tidal Basin.
I'm a newbie. Most of the time when people ask me what I'm fishing for, I say: "Whatever I can get!"

So I almost always get the same questions from tourists over at the tidal Basin.#1 Are there actually fish in that water? Yes, there are fish in the potomac.#2 What are you going for?/ What kind of fish are in that water? Large mouth, small mouth, striped bass, blue & channel cats, carp, snakeheads, yellow perch, white perch, shad, etc… (remind me if I'm missing any)#3 You don't actually eat the fish, do you? I don't eat them. (unless possibly if it's a snakehead)#4 Do they have 3 eyes? Nope#5 Is this waterway natural or manmade? The Tidal Basin is man made (aprox. 1920) but is part of the Potomac river. What do you get?
