Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Lake Mercer

I've really done mostly spin fishing there, but yeah, the tree stump area on the opposite side of the lake from the dam is where I like to fish.  It is a hike from the parking lot on Hooes, but I've caught some big LMBs (18-22") there and around other areas of the lake.  One thing that haunts me is one time when I forgot to set my drag and I hooked something that bolted and broke my line.

If you're lucky, you might also catch a glimpse of a bald eagle.
