my experience with the Maury is that it has never fished nearly as good as it looks, whether for bass or trout...beautiful river, mediocre fishing.--

We landed some nice 6-8 inch fish. He has caught many in the 9-11inch range during the fall. Later that afternoon we hit Mossy Creek. He landed a 9in bow and i lost a brown that looked to be in the 15-18in range. The 3rd we fished Mill Creek iin the morning and shifted over to Maury Run in the afternoon. In Mill i landed a few hold over rainbows that were pushing 14 inches. I have no feedback from Maury. It is a huge river that had many pockets that were over 8 feet deep, and all I ended up with was a tiny small mouth. Majority of the trip we were tossing a bunch of flies i tied, San Juan worms, black zebra midges and prince nymphs. All in all it was a great trip seeing an old buddy and we got into some fish and got to see 4 new rivers. If anyones plannin on goin that way, i can give some tips we learnt that were are decently detailed to a certain river.Tight lines,--Dan Barrett
