Important Notice:  President of IFFF in your area soon!

Dear Gregory S Feder,

The Federation is now an international organization and we have become the fly fishing voice of the world. Our mission may be worldwide, but nothing could be more important than the councils & clubs in our homeland. They are the life-blood of our organization.  Unfortunately the Mid-Atlantic Council president had to resign for personal reasons, and the Council is in need of a strong leadership team.  We are now looking for IFFF members to serve on the board.

While the members and clubs in the area are still supporting the IFFF, it is time to get a dynamic leadership team in place.  Recently I was contacted by a Master Casting Instructor who wants to see the MAC start operating again and offered to help.  He advised that several Federation members will be representing the IFFF at the Lancaster Show in March. I plan to be in the Mid-Atlantic area from February 25 until March 3. I will attend the show and support their efforts to promote the IFFF.

However prior to my visit I am soliciting your help to identify candidates who are willing to serve as a board member.  On behalf of the Federation and the MAC, I am requesting that each MAC club and each MAC/IFFF member give serious consideration to the nomination of candidates. For over 20 years the MAC has been a dynamic organization in the eastern United States, most particularly in education of youth and adults in the art of fly fishing and in conservation of our natural resources for fly fishing for all fish in all waters.  Since I will be available I would like to visit a few conservation projects managed by some of the IFFF clubs or attend a club meeting.

We need your help to revive the Mid-Atlantic Council. If you have considered serving as a MAC officer or know of someone who would, now is the time to come forward. Please raise your hand, talk to friends, and help us find those individuals who can make a difference for the Council. If you have names of nominees or would like to schedule a visit please call me at 530-356-9430 or send an e-mail to me at philipgreenlee@att.net. I hope to hear from you or see you while I'm visiting the area. Please remember that the Mid-Atlantic Council is an important part of keeping the IFFF strong and we need your support.

Sincerely yours,

President/CEO
