I will continue to share anything I think might be helpful and useful to make someone else's day on the water all the better. That's always been what I feel the spirit of this board is all about.
Apparently, you are wrong in that assumption. This is not the only fly fishing group, nor is it the only NOVA fly fishing organization. It is in fact one of many, all of which freely share fly fishing information to anyone who asks, including the divulgance of "secret" fishing spots. In fact, there are no "secret" spots as all are publicly available, which makes them fair game for anyone to fish at. Unless were talking about private spots, which is different because those are not open to public fishing. In any case, it is unlawful to suppress peoples free speech here or anywhere on the internet, not to mention its impossible to accomplish in reality. For example, if you want to divulge a "secret" spot, just post it to any forum anywhere and voila, its now public knowledge. So I am not saying what you did was wrong or right anymore than the spirit of those who disagree with you. Just that what they are trying to shame you into thinking is not realistic, legally defensible, and it does not even make sense from a fly fisher to fly fisher point of view.
