Jamie, these were neither on the beach nor up rivers, Kind of a transition zone between the two. The areas suggested for me were basically around Sarasota Bay.

Wow those are beautiful fish! Those snook are impressive. It's interesting he told you to go with top water. I was south of you near Bonita Springs and had read that before going down there but didn't really have the right opportunity to try it.
Another's thing I had heard from reading and from people I spoke with while down there (not fly anglers though) was that the snook had moved away from the beaches and into rivers to get warm. You obviously proved that wrong. Nice work!
