I just booked a weekend at Harman's Cottages in West Virginia near Seneca Rocks for June as I was looking for a similar option to take my wife who doesnt fish. The cabins look really nice and come with a hot tub, grill and fire pit and the area around there has plenty of things to do and see. Best part is that the cabins are directly in front of a stream that is stocked full of large trout... While I would much rather fish for wild fish, the convenience of being able to fish early and late while the wife relaxes in the cabin or tries her hand at fishing seem worth the tradeoff. There are also good alternatives for wild fish and smallmouth nearby...
You may also want to check out the Northfork Mountain Inn, where we stayed a couple of years ago in the same area.

Hi All,--
My girlfriend wants to take me somewhere 'romantic' for my birthday and asked where I'd like to go. I've heard about places south of us in VA which are like cottages on stocked private streams or what not? Alternatively, perhaps a suggestion for a good weekend trip in the next month? Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated!
Thanks,
Lane
