Sorry - computer issues!
I was just going to add the soft hackle swinging was a blast. I'll be doing more of this in the future. Most of the folks I saw were fishing nymph rigs (and we did too for a bit), but the soft hackles were more fun to me. You get to keep one hand in your pocket and it seems kind of like the lazy man's way to fish for trout. The terrible weather seemed to drive away most anglers, so it was pretty nice to have your pick at good looking areas ;).
Beth was the only female I saw during the entire time we were out there -- trooper!

Sent from my iPhoneHey, I realize this is out of state but it's a pretty well-known trout stream here in the midwest so I thought I'd post it. We fished it for about 9 hours every day during the last 3 days and (thankfully) were able to retreat to a cabin with a fireplace versus a tent. It was sleeting/snowing and between 27-35 most of the time we were out there, which made tying on flies/leaders difficult. The Current is known as a slightly difficult stream to fish according to the Ozark Anglers group, but I managed several rainbows on brassies, PT nymphs, and the most awesome - my soft hackles! Catching trout on a soft hackle is probably my favorite type of fishing I've done for those guys.--
