{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Flies selection Question

beer ties is a good place to start.
I am also new to fly fishing and if it had not been for the bluegills of 4mr I would have given up already. Get a few small poppers in your arsenal as well.
I have been having fun snagging trees and catching bluegills on small foam poppers that I tie myself. They are ugly as sin, but somehow work.

Hey Everyone!

My name is Ryan and I am new to the board and new to fly fishing. I have a small selection of flies but wanted to see if there are any recommendations of good starter kits to get a good variety of flies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
