{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Accotink this morning

Nice. Ive gone down through that area before but like you, couldnt see much and just guessed at it. I think I will head back that way this weekend. There are a lot of pools in that area. I have seen a few in the calm section right at the baseball field but as you walk down towards where the creek bends to the right, there are some other areas.

Yes, released it. I parked behind the baseball field and hiked down stream. First time there so I did as much hiking and exploring as fishing. Caught this one in the third or fourth hole below the baseball field. All of the holes looked like they would hold fish though, but in my hast to get out the door in the morning, I forgot my polorized glasses so I was sort of guessing at where a fish might be.

Did you throw him back in? Was up there about two weeks ago and saw a few stacked up, about that size, but they were too wary to hit anything. You parked and fished close to the baseball field then?

Had a great time out on Accotink this morning. Figured I needed to take advantage of the warm weather. Never been there before, but was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting that much water and several deep pools. Out for 1.5 hours and landed one (below). Will definitely return to explore more of the creek. Parked at a county park on the south side of Little River Turnpike (do not remember the name).
