Thanks for doing this guys! I've been planning on getting out to one of these for a year now, and I'll finally be able to make it this Saturday - really interested in trying out a double hander.

I will be at Fletchers on Saturday from about 8:30-10:30 if anyone wants to get some casting practice in. For those of you who haven't been out there lately, Hurricane Sandy cleared some of the debris on the little beach we use and we have a picnic table down at the water.
It looks like we will have several instructors available to work individually with people.
For single handed casters we will review the basic casting stroke and the roll cast. If you have questions on your roll cast, let me know. It is a foundation cast for single and two-handed casting.
We can also work with others on their double haul.
Two handed folks, I will have a couple of rods set up with skagit lines and we will review waterborne anchor casts.
Bring, coffee, waders, sunglasses, and pick up a new DC license. The water is cold, but it is very nice out there this time of year.
And as always, if you have something specific you are working on, or don't understand, or are preparing for a trip, let us know.
All the best,
John
