RE: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Pike/Muski/walleye

For walleye - It has to fish from boat because they hate the sunlight and swim in deep water (where the level with less lights) - I was told about that.

Difficult run - I have been there several time for whitewater kayak. We have to get there by kayak or hike difficult run trail at VA side.  Unless you know the secret trail from MD side?

Anyone know about any areas on Upper Potomac river?

I've spent most of my work day looking into this.  I'm really itching to get out and target some Walleye as well.  I found some information about Walleye fishing near dam #4 up in Maryland, but it seems like everything I'm reading is for fishing from a boat.  Anyone have experience on that part of the river - are there sections that are wadable / good for fishing from shore?

Looks like where Difficult Run enters the Potomac near Great Falls is also a good spot for Walleye.
