So after all the times you have seen my name on these forums and my mug at the beer ties, I am finally going trout fishing for the first time. I will be going to lake fairfax tomorrow morning.
I will be going with a friend on mine who has fished for trout in this lake before but this will be the first time for me to fish for trout and for fishing a lake. After reading a lot of posts, I don't image these fish will be that easy to spook since they are newly stocked but I'm not sure. I will plan to use my 5 wt. instead of my 7 wt. and I will probably concentrate on dry flys, terrestial and nymphs more than streamers. The only other think I can think about is being more careful with my presentation.
If anyone has any suggestions on Lake fairfax or on trout fishing compared to smallmouth/large mouth/ shad/striper/ etc... fishing please let me know.
Aaron
