Hi, the bears were so locked in on eating salmon that we just got out of there way and they would just pass by. The guides carried bear spray but never felt like we needed it. We did have a bear in our fishing camp one evening and the owner scared him off with 3 shots in the air.

How did you guys handle the bears? I was just in Idaho and was only in grizzly country for a short time with my wife but I was still pretty freaked out. I didn't grow up with any predators in northeast Ohio!
