{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Swinging flies.

Hi Jeff -- We do it all the time when the situation is suits.  I just spend several hours doing it with success using small streamers on Saturday, and I plan to do it all this coming weekend for chain pickerel (and probably fallfish).  Getting the fly in front of the fish is the way to go to get them....fish are stupid and thus deserve to be stung with pieces of sharp metal in my opinion.   

Now that I'm thinking about it, I actually caught a redfish on a tidal marsh in NC by working a "swing" of some tidal current running out of a patch of vegetation -- same idea, just a weird place to use it.
