Did the North Branch have extremely low water last summer? There might be areas with fewer fish right now.

Hello,--Does anyone have any great knowledge of the North Branch of the Potomac? Where I live these days it is the closest stream to me, or at least I think. A buddy and I have fished it only 3 or 4 times. Managed a few trout in October on crawdad imitations. This weekend we blanked tossing a lot of small nymphs. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
