{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Savage River advice 2/1513 trip

I live on the savage river, so let me provide some winter insights.

1.  The Elk is several hours away sorry.  Great fishing for those that want to try it.  The Elk is near SnowShoe Resort in WV.

2.  The Wisp fly shop doesn't really function in the winter.  Two weeks ago it was selling ski clothing, no fishing items.

3.  Try the fly shop on the Savage.  There are other local guides available too.

4.  You want to fish the waters below the dam in the winter, unless you want to fish some of the tribs on the upper for small brookies.
