One more weigh-in on the Orvis longs... I'm 6'3 with 14's. I need an L or XL but usually in a 14 all that's around is XXL. Orvis ended up with the best fit for me. For what it is worth, I found the sonic convertibles to be fairly trim-cut compared to my older silver labels.
As an aside, my duck hunting waders are Orvis XXL/14 and they are way to billowy, especially in the gut region - I could almost fit two of me in there.
