Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} First Brook Trout - Dry River, VA
Hey - I had to share the 1st brook trout we've ever caught. Cute little fish. We fished dry river for about 4 hours today (12-4) and had a great time. I feel like there's a LOT of water there to fish and you couldn't hit it all in a lifetime.
Anyway - Beth got one on a small dry fly, I lost all my dry flies in the trees and got one on a nymph. I also (like an idiot) spooked a couple right out of their pools due to being a klutz.
Both were between 2 and 36 inches.
Anyway - every time I fish somewhere new I feel like I manage to find new and exciting ways to make mistakes. Live and don't learn I guess ;).
BTW - studded boot soles are a frickin' life saver -- thank you Rich!
