Due to Halloween, and the timing of Vienna's Halloween Parade, we will be holding the October meeting on the 17th.
Folks who want to bring gear to sell/swap should start setting up at 6:45.
Our October speaker will be John Mullican of the MD DNR who will brief us on the results of the Potomac River smallmouth bass survey – all those little blue cards we filled and set in have been analyzed!
John Mullican began his career with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as a technician in 1988 after graduating from Frostburg State University with a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology. John is currently the Western Region District II Manager with the Inland Fisheries Division. He is responsible for fisheries management in Frederick and Washington Counties and the nontidal Potomac River. Much of his free time is spent fishing the Potomac and other regional waters. As you can see from the accompanying picture, John knows where the big ones are, and hopefully he'll share some of his favorite spots with us during his talk. This should be an interesting and informative talk.
Meeting starts at 6:45 and is held at the Vienna Firehouse.
Everyone welcome...free!
Ernie
