Took my 15yo and her friend to the Burke Lake Dam today for about an hour. Lost count of fish. With minimal instruction her friend was into fish. Casting a few inches from shore to about 5’ out they landed bluegill and green sunfish until we lost count. Poppers with worm droppers and small Chernobyl’s like I tied at June Beer Tie. All in 5 wt rods.
Most of the casting was done from trail to allow us to sight cast with the height advantage. No one complained about the heat.
They didn’t tip me.
