Terrific article! I've had success with the picks on the Eastern Shore, but I've been meaning to get over to the Severn and the Magothy to do some exploring. A quick search of Google Maps shows some pretty big water. If a guy were to put in a kayak with limited range, could someone suggest a potential launching spot? Not asking for your rock, just a general area where one might reasonably find some fish within a mile or two of the launch. Would love to meet up with some other folks if they were interested in exploring.

The eastern shore mill ponds hold some very nice pickerel too. The ponds around Salisbury hold some of the bigger fish. But don't discount the creeks off the Patapsco.
