I run along that section and have never seen much that would entice me to fish there.  It looks relatively fishy but all I have seen was a catfish and a few smallish bait sized fish.

Look for a area flood advisory when its been dry for a few days. You will find clear water pushed way up into the creek. People have caught snakeheads all the way up and across from Giant. You'll find bullhead catfish above the fall line. Look for deep pockets where fish feel safe. Wear your waders and be up on your tetanus shot.

I was just along the path yesterday and there looked like a few holes in that stretch... though I couldn't tell if that was because the water was up from the rains.
