Depending on the amount of time you have to fish, I'd put Letort towards the bottom of that list. It's nowhere near as good a fishery as it was a few decades ago.

I used to live in Harrisburg and travel to DC almost every weekend. It's not a bad drive and there are a few worthwhile streams along the way (big hunting creek, fishing creek, Owens creek). However, your final destination is also your most worthwhile fishing destination. Harrisburg and the surrounding area is a phenomenal area for fly fishing. Yellow breeches, letort, big spring, falls springs, and many other area streams hold trout. While the main river may be blown out, some of the tributaries make for worthwhile smallmouth fishing.
