{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Salmon River, NY, Oct 10 - 14

The fish will still run at 185 especially if there is some rain.  It is almost October, they aren't going to wait forever.  The biggest problem with those flows is it makes it that much easier for the snaggers and less likely that the fish will eat a fly.

Regan, have you seen the reports that the NYSDEC has decided to reduce the water flows on the Salmon from current 335cfs to 185cfs starting tomorrow despite the forcasted rain.  The folks at Whitaker's who I spoke with this morning are not happy and said fishing will be significantly impacted.  I've decided to cancel my trip up there for next week until conditions change.
